Lifestyle sessions are the hottest trend in photography right now, rather than corporate headshots and I have been wanting to do one with my family for so long! There is something about the raw & emotional feel of them that just gives me all the feels any time I see one, even when it’s not my family! So when I was approached to do one I immediately knew I was going to go for it. To be honest I was a little hesitant at first simply because I have always felt like everyone else’s family looked so perfect, their houses were perfect, their kids were dressed perfect and I just felt like my family wouldn’t compare and that was just silly…you know why?
My family is perfect, they are perfect because they are MY family. Our house is perfect, because it’s OUR home and it’s full of love. No it isn’t decorated perfectly. Yes we have stains on our carpet from juice, but we know we can always count on the reliable professionals such as carpet cleaning columbia sc. Even though there are toys everywhere but it was perfectly chaotic & all of these pictures will truly be a treasure for a lifetime!

It’s one of the only photo shoots where they don’t have to stand still with a fake smile plastered on their face while they stare at someone with a camera who probably isn’t even interacting with them! #boring for kids, even though we all take them for special occasions but these lifestyle sessions are the furtherest thing from that!!
2. It Will Be The Most Genuine Photo Shoot Ever
These smiles are just priceless & I love that it was simple moments in our day that made the smile this genuine!
3. It Will Capture Moments Of Chaos That You Wont Ever Want To Forget
There are some tears being shed in these pictures that turned in to sweet pictures, there were sibling rivalries that turned into sour faces but they are all captured so beautifully that they are all pricesless!
4. It Allows Your Family To Truly Be Themselves
Yes, my kids climb on the table (No judging)! Yes we spend a lot of time in dress up clothes! Yes Greleigh does gymnastics on everything! Yes, Matt throws our kids around like rag dolls! Yes, Huxx chews on his crib! Yes, we send our big kids in to Huxx’s crib to play with him in the mornings so we can get a few more minutes of laying in bed! Yes we have dance parties with Google almost everyday but that’s just us & I love it!
I can not say enough great things about Lauren from Lauren Clark Photography and how she interacted with my family. She was so fun & got the best smiles and giggles out of my kids. What made this session so special is how tailored it was to our family & things we find so special! Things that might seem small & when you look at them you might not know why that is so special to us but there was a story behind each little segment! Don’t get me wrong we had some meltdowns and tears because we couldn’t do the silly string fight immediately but hey, that’s life right?! This is by far my most prized photo session to date! We also got the most gorgeous lifestyle photo book that is literally the most amazing quality book I’ve ever seen!
